The 50 hour scalp micro-pigmentation program (4 weeks weekends only program), is a cosmetic tattooing procedure that involves the application of permanent pigments onto the skin to enhance certain features or camouflage imperfections.

About The Program
This comprehensive program is designed to meet the needs of both beginners and experienced practitioners in the field of cosmetic tattooing. With a focus on skill expansion, participants will gain valuable knowledge and techniques to successfully perform scalp micro-pigmentation procedures. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced professional, this program offers the opportunity to develop and refine your skills in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Students can take this course if they have one of the following NYS professional licenses: Cosmetology License, Barber License, Esthetics license. Additionally, permanent makeup artists, medical spa employees, plastic surgeons, beauty consultants, medical professionals, makeup artists, tattoo artists, and microblading practitioners are also eligible to apply.

Our experienced instructors will guide you through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, giving you the confidence to work on real clients. You will learn how to create a natural-looking hairline that complements each client's facial features, as well as how to replicate the look of stubble or a full head of hair for those who want more density.

By the end of this program , you will be able to provide your clients with a safe, effective, and long-lasting solution for balding or thinning hair. You will also have the knowledge and skills to start your own scalp micro-pigmentation business, or to enhance your existing cosmetic tattooing services.
You Will Learn.
During this comprehensive program , you will learn the fundamental principles of scalp micro-pigmentation, including:

  • Client consultation and assessment

  • Designing and mapping a hairline

  • Choosing appropriate pigment colors

  • Proper use of the micro-pigmentation device

  • Sterilization and hygiene practices

  • Managing client expectations and aftercare

American Barber Institute offers students a Tuition Payment Plan that allows students to pay while they attend school. Upon registration, students will pay $700.00 tuition down payment and the balance of $2800 leftover balance will be divided into 4 weekly payments of $700.
Requirements All what you need to start:
  • SOCIAL SECURITY CARD
    You should provide a Social Security Card or Tax ID Number
  • HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA
    High School Diploma (HSD) or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)*
  • ADMISSION AGE
    You must be at least 17 years of age
  • ADDRESS
    You should provide Proof of your residential address
  • PHOTO IDENTIFICATION
    You should provide valid photo identification or a valid Driver’s License
  • DOWN PAYMENT
    $700 Down Payment
  • Entrance Requirement
    If you don’t have an HSD or GED, ABI will administer an entrance exam prior to enrolling. If you have a HSD from a foreign country, you have to submit a notarized translation and copy of the original document.

The program consists of 50 hours and is given in 8 sessions of 6 hours each and 1 session of 2 hours, according to a posted schedule.

The scalp micro-pigmentation Fundamentals program may be taken over 4 weeks, with classes scheduled for 2 days a week, and a final session lasting 2 hours.
