NEW CLASSES STARTING SOON!
MON. February 7, 2022
At A.B.I., we pride ourselves on all of our students’ progression, as they become professional barbers. The guiding principle of barbering education is that we provide our students the necessary education to work in a sustainable, nearly recessionproof occupation and to instill in our graduates a sense of pride in their work. So many of our graduates go on to live their dream of earning a living by cutting hair. It is an exciting challenge to help someone feel their best by providing that individual with the haircut that he or she wants. It should come as no surprise that a special set of veterans desire to become barbers – one of the most challenging, yet fun and relaxing jobs around – after they leave the Armed Services. We take such pride and offer our heartfelt gratitude to our students who served this country and then decided to embark on a new career in barbering.
ABOUT OUR VETERANS – GI BILL®
If you are a veteran and are interested in stepping into the world of barbering, you’ve come to the right place. At the American Barber Institute, we know that finding employment and training as a veteran can prove to be a bit of a challenge, and that is why we are here. ABI wants to help you and countless other veterans who may be interested in developing a career in the field of barbering.
With programs approved by the New York State Division of Veterans’ Affairs (VA), the American Barber Institute can equip you with all of the skills required for you to become a master barber. Our programs are approved under titles 10, 32, and 38 of the United States Code for the training of Veterans, National Guard members, spouses and children of deceased veterans, ready reservists, and even spouses and children of active-duty members in certain cases. In order to benefit from the unmatched programs being offered by the American Barber Institute, veterans are required to provide us with a certificate of eligibility as well as discharge papers, Form DD-214, in order to complete the eligibility process. If you are unsure if you are eligible for education benefits, please contact your VA Representative.
