Become a Master barber in 4 months

ABOUT THE PROGRAM.

During the four months of instruction, students complete two weeks of barber theory where students gain an understanding of sanitation, sterilization, barber history, barber laws, and shop management. ABI provides our students with tremendous amount of clients and teaches them the art of shaving, facial massage, hair styling, from classic tapers, fohawks, pompadours, baldies, caesars, low fades, mid fades, high fades, high-top fades, afro, flat tops, razor lineups, shampoos, classical haircuts, beard trims, shape ups, blowouts, mohawks and preparation for New York State Board Exam. Upon completion, each student will have an opportunity to meet with job placement and review the opportunities open to them to begin their employment.

Barbering offers an opportunity to earn an exceptional income. Many barbers are their own boss and get paid every day. Some barbers may, in time, earn more than some college graduates. TUITION & FINANCING .

American Barber Institute offers students a Tuition Payment Plan. Students pay while they attend school.

Upon registration, students will pay a $500 tuition down payment.
$5100 leftover balance will be divided into 17 weekly payments of $300.

Students will be responsible for the purchase of barbering tools and supplies. A list of acceptable tools will be provided upon registration.

$3600 leftover balance will be divided into 16 weekly payments of $200 and a final payment on week 17 – $400.

Students will be responsible for the purchase of barbering tools and supplies. A list of acceptable tools will be provided upon registration.

1 . SOCIAL SECURITY CARD

You should provide a Social Security Card or Tax ID Number

2 . High School Diploma

High School Diploma (HSD) or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)*

3 . ADMISSION AGE

You must be at least 17 years of age

4 . ADDRESS

You should provide Proof of your residential address

5 . PHOTO IDENTIFICATION

You should provide valid photo identification or a valid Driver’s License

6 . DOWN PAYMENT

$500 Down Payment

* If you don’t have an HSD or GED, ABI will administer an entrance exam prior to enrolling. If you have a HSD from a foreign country, you have to submit a notarized translation and copy of the original document.
