Privacy Policy
How American Barber Institute collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Effective date: July 5, 2026. Last updated: July 5, 2026.
Our Commitment to You
At American Barber Institute, we prioritize the protection and security of your personal information. We highly value our relationship with you and work diligently to maintain your privacy while honoring your preferences. As part of our relationship, there may be instances where we need to collect or share certain information about you. This privacy policy statement outlines how we handle customer information.
Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide to us through applications, surveys, registration forms, and other similar channels. This may include your name, phone number, email address, mailing address and any details you choose to share when you request information, book a tour, register for a program, or register a barbershop with our job placement office.
Forms, Chat & Website Analytics
Our website uses forms and chat widgets provided by LeadConnector (GoHighLevel) to let you request information, book tours and contact our team. Information you submit through these forms and chat conversations is processed by LeadConnector on our behalf so that we can respond to your inquiry.
We also use third-party analytics and advertising cookies to understand how visitors use our site and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These services may set cookies or similar technologies in your browser:
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymous usage statistics such as pages visited and time on site.
- Google Ads — conversion measurement and remarketing for our advertising campaigns.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook) — advertising measurement and audience building.
- Microsoft Clarity — session analytics that help us improve the usability of the site.
- CallRail — call tracking and attribution, which may record and store phone-call details when you call a tracked number.
- ClickCease — click-fraud detection that protects our paid advertising.
These tools are loaded through Google Tag Manager and honor your consent choice. You can manage or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings, or update your choice using the cookie banner or the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our footer. Declining will not prevent you from browsing the site, though some features (such as forms or chat) may not work as intended.
Your Privacy Choices
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising. When you first visit, a consent banner lets you Accept or Decline these non-essential cookies, and we apply Google Consent Mode so that advertising and analytics tags respect your choice. Visitors in regions that require prior opt-in (such as the EEA and the UK) have these technologies disabled by default until they accept.
California & other U.S. state residents (CCPA/CPRA): the use of advertising cookies and pixels (such as Google Ads and the Meta Pixel) may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some state laws. You may opt out at any time by clicking Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (also available in the site footer), or by enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser. We do not knowingly sell the personal information of minors.
Text Messages & Calls (SMS/Phone)
When you submit a form or provide your phone number, you agree that American Barber Institute and its admissions team may contact you by phone, email and text message (SMS) about our programs, including via automated technology. Consent is not a condition of enrollment. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can reply STOP to opt out of texts or HELP for help at any time. Calls to tracked numbers may be recorded for quality and training.
How We Share Information
We do not disclose any information we possess about you to any third party unless required by law or in response to legal requests.
In certain circumstances, the law permits us to share information about our current and former customers with government agencies or authorized third parties. This disclosure may be necessary in response to subpoenas or to comply with specific legal obligations.
How We Protect Information
We prioritize the security of your data and take precautions to safeguard it from unauthorized access.
Former Customers
We do not share any information regarding our former customers with any external party unless compelled to do so by law or legal obligations.
